What is thermographic inspection and how does it work on electrical systems?

It is a thermal imaging camera analysis that sees the temperature of electrical components. A loose contact or an overload heats up abnormally long before it fails; the camera highlights that hot spot as a colored spot. This way we detect incipient defects invisible to the naked eye.

Should the company's activity or the power be turned off during thermal imaging camera scanning?

No. On the contrary, the scan must be done with the installation under load, under normal working conditions, for thermal defects to be visible. The inspection is completely non-invasive: we do not touch or dismantle anything, so your activity continues without interruption.

What are the most common electrical defects discovered by thermography?

Most common: loose or oxidized connections in panels, overloaded fuses and circuit breakers, aged contacts, load imbalances between phases and undersized conductors. All are common causes of electrical fires, but easy to fix if caught early.

How often is it recommended to perform a thermographic audit of electrical panels?

For commercial and industrial buildings we recommend an annual inspection, and for critical installations even every 6 months. A scan before the summer season, when the electrical load in Constanta increases significantly, is a smart preventive measure.

Is the thermographic report recognized by insurance companies?

Yes. Many insurance companies require or value a thermographic report as proof of preventive maintenance, and in the event of a claim it demonstrates your diligence. The GreenSoft report includes thermal images, the severity of each point, and remediation recommendations.
